2c - Managing Classroom Procedures
In an effort to curb the drastic loss of pencils during the year, and maintain what few I had left, our class began the The Great Pencil Challenge! At the beginning of the challenge, students received a brand new pencil with their classroom number assigned to it. There are weekly check-in days (typically every Friday) and students place their pencils in the classroom cup at the end of each day. On Friday, students that still have their pencil can keep their sticky note on the board. If they lose it, it comes down. Anyone who still has their pencil at the end of the month wins a prize. If the entire class keeps their pencil all month, we have a pizza party.

2d - Managing Student Behavior
ClassDojo is used all day, every day in class. Points can be added or removed based on varying behaviors and demonstrating the different qualities within DAAS P.R.I.D.E. While using ClassDojo, we have two separate behavior raffles throughout the year. One before Christmas Break and the other before Summer Break. Every Friday students receive an entry for every positive point they have. Prizes for the drawing have included remote control cars, Razor scooters, Monster High dolls, activity/craft sets, school supplies, and much more.

2e - Organizing Physical Space
In previous years I have had some sort of flexible seating option along with a traditional seating arrangement. This year, I wanted to utilize a full flexible seating classroom. While it came with some challenges, as a whole it was successful. Ideally, I would love a classroom with room for both options, but I am happy with the outcome from this year. Students had areas to sit (balance balls, on a table, in chairs, and on pillows) or stand at a table that had bands to rock their feet on.
